We never met. Never will. But you did change my life. I’m one who believes that music will affect you in different ways at different times in your life. Younger, I’ve always known you existed, but never really “understood” your music and its multi facets. It all changed one night when a friend of mine told me to do the following exercise: go home, turn off all the lights, lay in bed and drop the needle on “Time” from the beautiful “Aladdin Sane”. Time actually stopped for me that night. Then followed the exploration of that very deep, wonderful, strange musical world of yours. I got lost in it for a long time. What I discovered was a new way to see music but also myself. I no longer felt I was a bass player. I became a songwriter. It became about the song and the world around it. You made me see that is possible to be who you are, but also be who you want to be. That the only limits in art are the ones we set for ourselves. Thank you for the music and the timeless inspiration.
